"I am both very pleased and very flattered," author and Wyoming rancher Reid Rosenthal wrote in an email.
We first wrote about Reid earlier this year, when book one of his "Threads West, An American Saga," series was getting lots of attention and winning all sorts of awards.
On the outside, Reid seems an unlikely author of romance novels. He's fourth generation land and cattle, smokes Camel straights and drives a one-ton Ford F-350.
But his first book sold. Well. Really well.
Amazon.com sold out the morning the book was released, and Barnes & Noble ran out of copies. The book went through three printings with Cheyenne-based Rockin' SR Publishing.
To help the rest of the series reach its potential, Reid and Rockin' SR are now also working with Narrow Gate Books of Austin, Texas, and Mid Point Trade Books in New York, Reid wrote in his email.
With the help of those distributers, book two of the series, "Maps of Fate," is scheduled for a pre-Christmas launch. It was originally scheduled for May.
